Starcraft

Narrative Level Design

I designed the last level of a four-level campaign of Starcraft 2. This campaign is about revenge and forgiveness. As the last level, it concludes the narration and offers the player to choose his own ending. This level can be completed stealthily and peacefully like in the first level or with violence like the third level.

Portal

Narrative Level Design

I designed the first level of a four-level campaign of Portal 2. This campaign is about loneliness. As the first level, it shows loss of orientation and teaches the players that they must reach the companion cube to get out of their loneliness.

Graveyard Keeper

Open World Level Design

As a study exercise, I designed a map extension for Graveyard Keeper. The main goal of this exercise was to design an open-world map that exploits a new fictional feature.

Game Flow One-Pager

As a study exercise, I had to describe the game flow of a game on one page. I chose to summarize "Brothers: A Tale of two Sons" on that page. I highlighted the locations, NPC, enemies and gameplay mechanics of each level. The real challenge was to describe the controls without a word.

Balancing One-Pager

As a study exercise, I designed units of a new faction for a new fictive Warcraft game. I chose the Murlocs as a new faction and added a new elemental feature as a unique ability for this faction. This exercise aimed to describe 10 units in detail on one page.
